WorkshopMasters
Come and network, learn up to 3 tips for facilitating workshops, and hear 2 fabulous speakers. All you need to provide is your candid feedback.
WorkshopMasters, an opportunity for Entrepreneurs to pilot a piece of their workshop in front of an audience in a safe environment. Think of it like ToastMasters for Workshop Facilitators.
We have 2 great speakers who will deliver 30 minutes of their respective workshops and now we are looking for eager audience participants. We will kickoff the evening with some informal networking followed by a learning module and then each speaker will present and will be provided feedback by the audience. We will close the evening with lessons learned. As an audience participant, you will: - Learn up to 3 tips you can put to immediate use when facilitating your own workshops
- Hear two fabulous Speakers, Nadia Nassif & Scott Loring test out their respective material (check out the topics & speaker info below)
- Learn how to give constructive valuable feedback
If you are committed to learning, interested in offering your candid and constructive feedback and looking to connect with other like-minded individuals, I invite you to join us! As I am piloting this in August & September, the evening is free of charge - I just ask that you help create the space for the workshop facilitators to shine and offer your thoughts/feedback on their talks and the overall program.
Walk-ins welcome. Everyone who attends will receive a Tip Card for creating high impact workshops and a complementary subscription to Workshop University''s periodic newsletter with tools, techniques and tips.

WorkshopMasters Evening Workshop #1 Linked-In for Early-Stage Career Planning: Tips for International Students How many of you are using Linked In through the "recruiter''s eyes"? What are you doing to learn, engage, and connect with relevant contacts on LinkedIn? This workshop will help you explore the LinkedIn tools that you can unleash tonight to gain more online visibility, broad job search options, and connect and communicate better through community discussion groups. Participants will walk away with: · A list of do''s and don''ts for using LinkedIn · The importance of using LinkedIn for self branding · A room full of contacts they will be able to connect with on LinkedIn to either grow their account, or start their profile contacts (interactive exercise) About the Facilitator: Nadia Nassif is the Founder and President of Springboards Language Training and Consulting, LLC, a Boston-based professional communications firm that works specifically with internationals- both working professionals and students- propelling them to career success. A native to the city, Nadia received a degree at Boston University in applied linguistics and foreign languages; she has been teaching English as a Second Language and Business Communication both in the U.S. and Japan for almost a decade. In her current MBA research on organizational communication, she is looking to uncover the powerful connection between organizational effectiveness and well supported workforces with a particular emphasis on international firms. Workshop #2 CPR for Tough Conversations: Learn the Content/ Pattern/ Relationship framework to create positive and lasting change. When confronting someone, we all know that the way in which we communicate is essential. Just as important – perhaps even more vital – is identifying the exact issue you need to address. The lens of CPR (Content /Pattern/Relationship) can provide a helpful framework to help you unbundle the conflict and focus your discussion on what matters most. Participants will learn: - How to use the framework of CPR to sort through the elements of any conflict - An effective lens to prioritize topics in a disagreement - Ways to avoid having the same argument over and over About the Facilitator: Scott Loring founded Cooperative Coaching and Mediation in 2000 to bring his communication, conflict resolution and team building skills to individuals, families and closely-held businesses. Scott was trained by Meditation Works, Inc. (MWI) and Harvard Project on Negotiation (PON) and is proficient in Non-Violent Communication (NVC), a communication model developed by Marshall Rosenberg. A Certified Professional Coactive Coach and a graduate of Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and Executive Coaching Institute (ECI), Scott holds a Certificate in Relationship Coaching to better work with business teams. He has lead workshops for a variety of professionals including audiences at Harvard University, New England Business Brokers Association, and Children''s Hospital Boston.
